La mostra
ll tempo Ripetuto // Repeated Time
curated by Martina Marolda
ll tempo Ripetuto // Repeated Time is a sound installation widespread throughout the village of Radicondoli that refers to the cyclical trend of pandemics: the central theme of the work done by the artist, together with OCRA, the young Chamber Orchestra of Radicondoli.
Taking inspiration from the Scratch Orchestra and its sound pedagogical exercises, Anna Halprin, UltraRed and Pauline Oliveros, the artist led OCRA in the production of experimental scores that reflect the personal experience of the musicians, through a series of improvisations carried out without a conductor.
The orchestra played images, reworking through its instruments, chronicles and narratives on the plague that struck the Val d’Elsa in 1630-1633 and on the most recent experience of lockdown.
Open from Wed to Sun 10-13 and 15-18, closed Tue.

Radicondoli is a Tuscan village of 937 residents in the province of Siena, which is 44km away. During the 14th century, Radicondoli was an important center of textile craftsmanship of the Sienese state because of the wool processing that took place in the area. Its monumental cornerstone is the Collegiate Church of Saints Simone and Giuda, built on the remains of a centuries-old Romanesque parish church. The Radicondoli Festival began in 1986 and is held every year between July and August, intertwining high-culture and popular theatre.
