Every year Una Boccata d’Arte undertakes a search for 20 villages, one for each of the 20 Italian regions, with less than 5.000 inhabitants and in different areas, in order to rediscover the entire regional territory. The social and cultural characteristics, and the historical, artistic, architectural and landscape heritage, in addition to the local raw materials and artisanal traditions, provide ideas inspiring the art projects. The installations, often open-air and disseminated through the streets of the villages, arise from exchanges and discussions amongst the artists and the local communities.

Over the years, more and more municipalities have applied to take part in the project, and, in some cases, they have purchased the works from the artists, making them a permanent part of the heritage available to inhabitants and visitors. If you would like to nominate your municipality, please refer to the contacts page.
